Removal And Installation

    CAUTION: Always disconnect the battery ground cable prior to working on the electronic engine controls.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, on vehicles equipped with dual batteries, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
  2. Disconnect the auxiliary battery positive cable (LH side of the engine compartment).

  4. Remove the auxiliary battery cover.

  6. Unlatch and disconnect the powertrain control module (PCM) electrical connectors.

  8. Remove the 2 bolts and the PCM.
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
