All-Wheel Drive (AWD) LOCKED Indicator
The all-wheel drive (AWD) indicator serves a dual purpose. The first purpose is to indicate that the AWD system has entered into the AWD locked mode. The second purpose is to indicate that the AWD system has detected a system concern. The AWD system status is sent to the instrument cluster over the communication network. When an AWD system concern is detected, the AWD control module sends a status message to the instrument cluster to flash the AWD LOCKED indicator 8 times for a soft code or 10 times for a hard code. For additional information on the AWD system, refer to FOUR- WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEMS .
