Removal and Installation

CAUTION: Prior to removal of the 4 wheel drive (4WD) control module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to a diagnostic tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Open and lower the glove box compartment.
  3. Disconnect the connectors from the four wheel drive (4WD) control module.

  4. Remove 2 nuts and the 4WD control module.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
