Instrument Cluster: Notes

CAUTION: Prior to removal of the module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the diagnostic tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. For additional information, Refer to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .

CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. IF exposed to these charges, damage may result.

NOTE: The instrument cluster is not repairable at the dealership. Do not disassemble the instrument cluster.

Tilt the steering column to the lowest position and telescope (extend) the steering column to the farthest position.
Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, Refer to GENERATORS & REGULATORS .
Remove the lower instrument panel steering column reinforcement. For additional information, Refer to BODY SYSTEM - INTERIOR .
Remove the components in the order indicated in the following 2 illustration and table.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
