No communication with the instrument cluster
  • Battery junction box (BJB) fuse(s):
    • 15 (5A).
    • 30 (5A).
  • Central junction box (CJB) fuse(s):
    • 15 (10A).
    • 23 (30A).
  • Circuitry.
  • Standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network.
  • Universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART) based protocol (UBP) communication network.
  • Instrument cluster.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST G  to diagnose instrument cluster communication.
One or more module-controlled illumination source(s) is inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Illumination LEDs (part of illumination source component).
  • Dimmer module.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST A .
The control illumination is inoperative/always on
  • Circuitry.
  • Headlamp switch.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST B .
The instrument cluster illumination is inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Illumination LEDs.
  • Instrument cluster.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST C .
The climate control illumination is inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Dual automatic temperature control (DATC) unit.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST D .
The steering wheel control switch is inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Clockspring.
  • Steering wheel control switches.
  • Steering wheel control harness.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST E .
The instrument panel illumination does not dim
  • Circuitry.
