Setup Displays

The setup displays are timed modes and terminate after a finite interval. The setup display menu may be used to activate, deactivate, or reset some functions using the message center RESET switch. Pressing the RESET switch will toggle between the activated and deactivated states. The setup display modes are:

• language
• English/metric units
• system check menu
• oil life status
• oil life in xx%
• charge system status
• oil pressure status
• engine temp status
• washer fluid level
• brake fluid level
• fuel level status
• distance to empty
• tire warning
• advtrac
• autolocks
• easy exit
• reverse mirror
• autolamp delay

Every 180 days or 8,000 km (5,000 miles) the oil life display in the message center SYSTEM CHECK will decrease gradually from 100% to 0%. At 5% oil life, the CHANGE OIL SOON warning message will display. At 0% oil life, the OIL CHANGE REQUIRED warning message will display. Oil life status is continually displayed in the SYSTEM CHECK portion of the message center and oil life warnings appear if oil life is low. To reset oil life message at oil change intervals, press and hold the RESET switch. For additional information, refer to the owner literature.
