No communication with the front electronic module (FEM)
  • Battery junction box (BJB) Fuses 425 (40A), 422 (20A).
  • Circuitry.
  • FEM.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST A  .
No communication with the instrument cluster module (ICM)
  • Central junction box (CJB) Fuses 202 (5A), 213 (5A), 217 (5A), 220 (10A).
  • Circuitry.
  • Instrument cluster.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST B  .
The instrument cluster illumination is inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Instrument cluster.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST C  .
The climate control illumination is inoperative
  • Dual automatic temperature control (DATC) module.
 INSTALL a new DATC module. REFER to CONTROL COMPONENTS . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
The audio system illumination is inoperative
  • Audio unit.
 REMOVE the audio unit and SEND it to an authorized Ford audio system repair facility.
The control illumination is inoperative - all LEDs and incandescents
  • Circuitry.
  • FEM.
  • IAJB.
  • LH instrument panel junction box.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST D  .
The control illumination is inoperative - all LEDs or incandescents
  • Circuitry.
  • FEM.
  • IAJB.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST E  .
The control illumination is always on - all LEDs or incandescents
  • Circuitry.
  • FEM.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST F  .
The control illumination is always on - all LEDs and incandescents
  • FEM.

A single illumination source is inoperative
