Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)

The daytime running lamp (DRL) system is controlled by the lighting control module (LCM), which is located in the instrument panel (04320). The system is designed to turn the low beam headlamps on with a reduced light output.

Before the DRL system can be activated, the ignition switch must be in the RUN position and the headlamp switch (11654) in the OFF position.

The DRL system will remain active until the autolamp system turns on the headlamps, and is required by the Canadian government for all vehicles sold in Canada.

The LCM is not repairable at the dealership.
