Test T: Tachometer Inoperative

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below left side of instrument panel, to right of steering column. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using NGS tester, select instrument cluster active command TACHOMETER CONTROL. Trigger TCHOMETER. Scroll TCHOMETER to 0 percent, 50 percent, then 100 percent while observing tachometer. Tachometer should display zero RPM at 0 percent, 3500 RPM at 50 percent and 7000 RPM at 100 percent.
