Test As: All LEDS Or Incandescent Lights Inoperative
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Turn headlights on. If power window, power door lock and memory switches do not illuminate, go to next step. If power window, power door lock and memory switches illuminate, go to step 4 .
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Front Electronic Module (FEM) 26-pin harness connector C201e. FEM is located behind driver's side kick panel. See Figure . Using a fused jumper wire, apply battery voltage to FEM harness connector C201e terminal No. 1 (Blue wire). See Figure . If power window, power door lock and memory switches do not illuminate, remove jumper wire and go to next step. If power window, power door lock and memory switches illuminate, replace FEM.
- Disconnect Interior Auxiliary Junction Box (IAJB) 16-pin harness connector C283a. IAJB is located, behind driver's side kick panel. Measure resistance in Blue wire between FEM harness connector C201e terminal No. 1 and IAJB harness connector C283a terminal No. 9. See Figure and Figure . Resistance should be 5 ohms or less. Measure resistance between ground and FEM harness connector C201e terminal No. 1 (Blue wire). Resistance should be more than 10 k/ohms. If both resistances are as specified, repair or replace IAJB. If either resistance is not as specified, repair open or short to ground in Blue wire between FEM and IAJB.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Front Electronic Module (FEM) 20-pin harness connector C201f. FEM is located behind driver's side kick panel. See Figure . Using a fused jumper wire, apply battery voltage to FEM harness connector C201f terminal No. 11 (Blue/Red wire). See Figure . Instrument cluster and message center lights should illuminate. Steering wheel switches (if equipped), main light switch, panel dimmer switch, mirror switch and message center switch lights should illuminate. If all lights do not illuminate, remove jumper wire and go to next step. If all lights illuminate, remove jumper wire and replace FEM.
- Disconnect joint connector No. 3 harness connector C224. Joint connector No. 3 is located, behind left side of instrument panel. Measure resistance between FEM 20-pin harness connector C201f terminal No. 11 (Blue/Red wire) and joint connector No. 3 harness connector C224 terminal No. 13 (Blue wire). See Figure and Figure . Resistance should be 5 ohms or less. Measure resistance between ground and FEM harness connector C201f terminal No. 11 (Blue/Red wire). Resistance should be more than 10 k/ohms. If both resistances are as specified, repair replace IAJB. If either resistance is not as specified, repair circuit between FEM and joint connector No. 3.
