Test AQ: Instrument Cluster Illumination Inoperative

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster 22-pin harness connector C220a. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Turn headlights on. Turn panel dimmer switch to maximum position. Measure voltage between ground and instrument cluster harness connector C220a terminal No. 7 (Blue/Red wire). If battery voltage exists, replace instrument cluster. If battery voltage does not exist, open in Blue/Red wire between instrument cluster and joint connector No. 3. Joint connector No. 3 is located behind left side of instrument panel.
