Test N: Anti-Lock Brake System Warning Indicator Never/Always On

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below left side of instrument panel, to right of steering column. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using NGS tester, select instrument cluster active command WARNING LAMPS AND CHIMES. Trigger ALL LAMPS to ON, then OFF. ABS warning indicator should illuminate when triggered ON and should not illuminate when triggered OFF. If ABS warning indicator operates as specified, repair ABS system concern. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES. If ABS warning indicator does not operate as specified, replace instrument cluster.
