Test Y: Speed Control Messages Not Displayed

Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using NGS tester, select Virtual Image Cluster (VIC) active command MESSAGE CENTER. Trigger MSGCENTER on. If all segments of message center illuminate, go to next step. If all segments of message center do not illuminate, replace VIC. See VIRTUAL IMAGE CLUSTER (VIC) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
Check cruise control system operation. If cruise control operates properly, replace VIC. If cruise control does not operate properly, repair cruise control concern. See CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEMS - CONTINENTAL article.
