Test B: No Communication With Virtual Image Cluster (VIC)
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove and inspect fuses No. 5 (10-amp), No. 26 (10-amp) and No. 28 (10-amp) from central junction box. If fuses are okay, install fuses and go to next step. If any fuse is blown, replace fuse and retest system. If fuse blows again, check for short to ground and repair as necessary. See POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
- Disconnect Virtual Image Cluster (VIC) harness connectors C255 and C256. Measure voltage at appropriate terminals at VIC harness connector indicated, with key in specified position. See POWER TO VIC
table. See Figure
. If all voltages are greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If any voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open in appropriate circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
.

- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Measure resistance between ground and appropriate VIC harness connector terminals. See VIC GROUNDS
table. If all resistances are 5 ohms or less, repair module communication concern. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - CONTINENTAL article. If any resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
