Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor And Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor: Installation

  1. Install the TSS and intermediate shaft speed sensor.
    • Lubricate the O-ring with clean automatic transmission fluid and install the TSS and intermediate shaft speed sensor.
    • Install the bolt.
      • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

  3. Connect the TSS and intermediate shaft speed sensor electrical connector.

  5. Raise the transmission into position.
  6. Position the crossmember to the transmission insulator and retainer, and loosely install the nut.

  8. Install the LH crossmember bolts.
    • Tighten to 81 Nm (60 lb-ft).

  9. Install the RH crossmember bolts.
    • Tighten to 81 Nm (60 lb-ft).

  10. Install the bracket and loosely install the bolts.
    • Install the bracket.
    • Loosely install the bolts.

  11. Tighten the RH crossmember bolts.
    • Tighten to 81 Nm (60 lb-ft).

  12. Tighten the transmission insulator and retainer nuts.
    • Tighten to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft).

  13. Install the wire harness and install the 2 retaining clips to the rear of the crossmember.
