Test Y: Speed Control Messages Not Displayed

Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using NGS tester, select instrument cluster active commend MESSAGE CENTER. Trigger MSGCENTER on. If all segments of message center illuminate, go to next step. If all segments of message center do not illuminate, replace instrument cluster.
Check cruise control system operation. If cruise control operates properly, replace instrument cluster. If cruise control does not operate properly, repair cruise control concern. See CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEMS - CONTINENTAL article.
