Test C: No Codes Displayed, Auto Test Running
- Perform Auto Test
Connect NGS tester or equivalent. Perform Auto Test. See AUTO TEST . If message center displays CHECK AIR RIDE, go to next step. If message center does not display CHECK AIR RIDE, go to step 4.
- Check Warning Message Signal Circuit
Turn ignition off. Disconnect control module connector C205 (Gray). See Figure. Measure resistance between ground and C205 pin No. 12 (Dark Green/Light Green wire). If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair short to ground in Dark Green/Light Green wire. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step.
- Check Dark Green/Light Green Wire For Open
Turn ignition off. Disconnect scan tool. Measure resistance of Dark Green/Light Green wire between C205 pin No. 12 and diagnostic connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open Dark Green/Light Green wire. Check system operation.
- Check Dark Green/Light Green Wire Short To Battery
Measure voltage between ground and C205 pin No. 12 (Dark Green/Light Green wire). If battery voltage is not present, go to next step. If battery voltage is present, repair short to battery in Dark Green/Light Green wire. Check system operation.
- Check Ignition Switch Signal
Disconnect control module connector C204 (Black). Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and C204 pin No. 4 Purple/Orange wire (White/Light Blue wire on 1996 models). See Figure. If battery voltage is present, replace air suspension/EVO control module. Check system operation. If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Inspect Fuses
Turn ignition off. Inspect fuse No. 28 (fuse No. 10 on 1996 models) in instrument panel fuse block. If fuse is blown, go to next step. If fuse is okay, repair open Purple/Orange wire (White/Light Blue wire on 1996 models) between fuse panel and control module.
- Check Module Power Wire For Short To Ground
Turn ignition off. Disconnect control module connector C204 (Black). Measure resistance between ground and C204 pin No. 4. See Figure. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair short to ground in Purple/Orange wire (White/Light Blue wire on 1996 models). Check system operation.
