DTC 29: Two Door Cycles Not Detected During Self Test (1997 Models)

On 1997 models, air suspension/EVO steering Control module receives a door open signal from lighting control module senses door open and closed signal from door switches.

1. Check For Door Ajar Input
   
   Disconnect control module connector C204 (Black). Measure voltage between C204 pin No. 5 (Black/Light Blue wire) and ground. Open, then close driver's door. Open, then close passenger's door. If battery voltage exists with one or more doors open and less than 3 volts with both doors closed, replace air suspension/EVO steering control module. If voltage is not as specified, go to next step.
2. Check Black/Light Blue Wire For Short To Ground
   
   Disconnect control module connector C204 (Black). Measure resistance between C204 pin No. 5 (Black/Light Blue wire) and ground. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Black/Light Blue wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
3. Check Black/Light Blue Wire For Open
   
   Disconnect steering column/ignition/lighting control module connector C287 (26-cavity connector located on far right side of instrument panel). Measure resistance of Black/Light Blue wire between connector C287 pin No. 10 and C204 pin No. 5. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open Black/Light Blue wire. Check system operation. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, problem resides in steering column/ignition/lighting control module.
