Diagnostic Routine

Air suspension self-diagnostic routine consists of Function Test, Drive Cycle and Auto Test. Self-diagnostic testing requires New Generation Star (NGS) scan tester or equivalent connected to diagnostic connector located on the front of right front shock tower. See Figure and Figure. In general, most diagnostic and service actions will contain these steps:

  1. Perform Function Test No. 211 to retrieve stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from air suspension/EVO control module. See FUNCTION TEST .
  2. Perform Auto Test diagnostics and record DTCs, if any are displayed during test. See AUTO TEST . If DTCs displayed during Auto Test are different than stored DTCs, repair current DTCs first. Recheck DTCs.
  3. When more than one DTC is displayed in either stored memory or during Auto Test, service DTCs by the type of fault as follows:
    • Electrical Faults: DTC 25 and DTCs 50 through 95.
    • Electro/Pneumatic Faults: DTCs 98 and 99.
    • Door Switches: DTC 29.
    • Steering Sensor: DTC 45.

Similar DTCs may indicate a condition with a common or shared circuit.
