Removal (Front)

  1. Turn air suspension off. Turn ignition switch to the UNLOCKED position. Raise vehicle on hoist. See REPAIR PRECAUTIONS . Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove height sensor. See HEIGHT SENSOR .
    2. CAUTION: If upper control arm is to be reused use care not to damage ball joint boot seal. Boot seal is not serviced separately, entire control arm must be replaced.
  2. Remove and discard upper spindle-to-ball joint pinch bolt and nut. Spread spindle slot, and remove ball joint. Break off flags on upper control arm pivot bolt heads. Using a 6-point socket, remove upper control arm bolts and control arm.
