Air Spring Solenoid: Removal

  1. Turn air suspension off. Raise vehicle. See REPAIR PRECAUTIONS . With suspension at full rebound, remove wheel and tire assembly. Disconnect electrical connector and air line.
  2. The air spring solenoid has a 2-stage pressure relief fitting. Remove clip. See Figure. Rotate solenoid counterclockwise to first stop. Slowly pull solenoid straight out to second stop, and allow air to vent from air spring.
  3. After air is fully released from air spring, rotate solenoid counterclockwise to third stop. Remove solenoid from air spring. Remove "O" rings from solenoid housing.
