Air Spring Fill Procedure

  1. Turn air suspension off. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester or equivalent to diagnostic connector located on front side of right front shock tower. Connect battery charger to reduce battery drain.
  2. With vehicle raised on a hoist high enough to remove load from suspension, enter Function Test to pump air to appropriate air springs. See FUNCTION TEST  under TESTING & DIAGNOSIS. Use Function Test Code No. 212 to inflate left front, No. 214 for right front, No. 216 for left rear and No. 218 for right rear air springs.
  3. Inspect all air springs for proper inflation (no folds or creases). Do not over-inflate springs while vehicle is raised. Disconnect battery charger and scan tool. Lower vehicle. Turn air suspension switch to ON position. Any further leveling (vent or compression) will be done when vehicle is in normal operation.
