Suspension - Electronic Air: Description

The air suspension system is an air operated, microprocessor-controlled suspension system. This system uses 4 air springs in place of the usual coil spring. The 4 air springs, made of rubber and plastic, support the vehicle load at the front and rear wheels. Front air springs and front shocks are manufactured as one unit. Rear air spring is mounted between lower control arm and body, and is separate from shock absorber.

Front suspension is a Short-Long Arm (SLA) type with double-isolated tension strut and stabilizer bar. Upper and lower control arms are hot forged with lubed for life, low friction, integral ball joints.

Rear suspension system is fully independent. Upper and lower control arms connect to cast aluminum knuckle which carries rear loads and houses axle shaft bearing and brake mounts. A tubular rear stabilizer bar is standard on all models.
