Hub & Bearing Assembly: Removal

  1. Turn air suspension switch, located in left side of trunk, to OFF position. See Figure or Figure . Raise and support vehicle. Remove rear wheel. Remove brake caliper assembly and support it aside. See Figure . Remove brake rotor. Remove grease cap. Remove and discard hub bearing retaining nut. Remove hub and bearing assembly from spindle.
  2. If replacing hub assembly, ABS sensor ring must be removed and installed on replacement hub. Mount hub assembly in Pinion Bearing Cone Remover (T71P-4621-B) and place in a hydraulic press. Using Ring Replacer (T89P-5493-B), press hub out of sensor ring.
