Strut Noise Check

  1. Bounce vehicle and try to isolate noise. Ensure steering knuckle or spindle-to-strut bolt torque is within specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Ensure all remaining strut fasteners are within specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Ensure all rubber insulators are properly installed.
  3. Inspect connecting joints for damaged threads. Replace components as necessary. If noise still exists, remove strut and proceed to STRUT BENCH TEST.
