Test S: Anti-Theft Warning Never/Always On

  1. Turn ignition off. Open both front doors. If anti-theft warning light is flashing, system is okay. If anti-theft warning light is not flashing, go to next step.
  2. Perform ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article. If anti-theft indicator does not light, go to next step. If anti-theft indicator lights, see ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS article.
  3. Disconnect VIC connector C255. Ensure tester is still commanding light on. Check voltage at connector terminal No. 31 (Dark Green/Light Green wire). If battery voltage is found, replace VIC and retest. If there is no voltage, go to next step.
  4. Backprobe lighting control module terminal No. 31 (Dark Green/Light Green wire). If voltage is 10 volts or more, repair Dark Green/Light Green wire and retest. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace lighting control module.
