System Test P: High Beam Warning Never/Always On

  1. Check instrument panel high beam indicator. If high beam warning is always displayed, go to step 3). If high beam warning is never displayed, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect VIC connector C255. Check continuity between connector C255 terminal No. 33 (Gray/White wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 10,000 ohms, repair Gray/White wire changing to Light Green/Black wire through Daytime Running Lights (DRL), if equipped, to headlights.
  3. Turn headlight switch off and ensure multifunction switch is in low beam position. If high beams are on, replace multifunction switch. If high beams are off, repair short to power on Gray/White wire.
