System Test F: Low Coolant Warning Never/Always On

  1. Check Circuit No. 794  - Ensure coolant level is adequate. Unplug coolant level sensor located near right shock tower. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at Light Blue wire at harness connector. If voltageis 4 volts or more, go to next step. If voltage is 4 volts, go to step 3).
  2. Check Circuit No. 57  - Measure resistance between chassis ground and engine coolant level switch connector Black wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to step 4). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair Black wire and retest.
  3. Check Circuit No. 794  - Measure resistance of Light Blue wire between engine coolant level switch connector and EIC connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is morethan 5 ohms, repair Light Blue wire.
  4. Check Low Coolant Level Warning Sensor  - Test coolant sensor for continuity. Continuity should exist with sufficient coolant; sensor should be open when coolant level is low. Replace sensor if continuity is not as specified. If sensor is okay, replace EIC.
