Test F (Code 46): Height Sensor Shorted

  1. Turn air suspension switch to OFF position. Raise vehicle on hoist. Disconnect height sensor electrical connector. Lower vehicle. Turn air suspension switch to ON position. Ignore all codes except Code 46. If Code 46 is received, go to next step. If Code 46 not received, replace height sensor. If Code 46 is again not received, replace control module.
    NOTE: Repeat SERVICE BAY DIAGNOSTICS under TESTING & DIAGNOSIS to verify repairs.
  2. Turn air suspension switch to OFF position. Disconnect control module connectors. Turn air suspension switch to ON position. Measure voltage between pins No. 22 and 6 of control module connectors. See Figure. Meter should indicate zero volts. If meter indicates zero volts, go to next step. If meter indicates battery voltage, repair short to battery in circuit 431 (Pink/White wire).
  3. Measure resistance between pins No. 22 and 6 of module connectors. See Figure. Meter should indicate greater than 10,000 ohms. If reading is greater than 10,000 ohms, replace control module. If reading is 10,000 ohms or less, repair short to ground in circuit 431 (Pink/White wire).
