Lower Control Arm: Removal
- Turn off air suspension switch, located in trunk. See Figure and Figure. Raise vehicle on hoist. Support frame side rails. Lower hoist until rear shocks are fully extended to relieve spring pressure.
- Support axle under differential pinion nose as well as under axle. Remove and discard lower control arm pivot bolt and nut from axle bracket. Disengage lower control arm from bracket.
- Remove and discard pivot bolt and nut from axle bracket. Disengage lower arm from bracket. Remove and discard pivot bolt and nut from frame bracket. Remove lower control arm from vehicle. If bushings are to be replaced, the lower control arm must be replaced as an assembly.
