Instrument Cluster R & I: Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Insert hooked tool into slot-hole at base of headlight-switch knob to depress retaining spring clip and pull knob off shaft. See Figure-6. Remove dimmer knob/trim bezel from shaft.
- Remove left and right instrument panel horizontal trim moldings to access cluster finish panel lower retaining screws. Remove all cluster finish panel retaining screws and remove panel. Remove lower steering column cover.
- Remove lower half of steering column shroud. Remove transmission indicator bracket from steering column. See Fig 1. Remove 4 cluster retaining screws. Unplug harness connectors, and pull cluster away from instrument panel.
