Intake Manifold: Installation

Clean all gasket surfaces. Apply a 1/8-inch bead of Silicone Rubber Sealer (D6AZ-19562-A) WITHOUT gaskets installed. See Fig 1. Install front and rear seals. Install intake manifold gaskets. Ensure holes in gasket and cylinder block are properly aligned.

Apply a 1/16-inch bead of the silicone sealer WITH gaskets installed. See Fig 1. Install intake manifold (or lower intake) and bolts. Tighten bolts in sequence to specifications. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
