Engine Oiling System: Notes

Engine oiling is a full pressure system. Oil pump is bolted to bottom of engine block inside oil pan. An intermediate shaft attached to distributor drives the oil pump. Engine oiling is the same for the 5.0L, 5.0L HO and 5.8L, except the 5.8L has a different oil pump inlet pickup tube than the 5.0L engines.
