Removal & Installation (Cougar & Thunderbird)
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove lower trim covers. Remove steering column cover and disconnect shift indicator bracket and cable assembly. Move shift lever and remove cluster trim panel.
- Remove cluster screws, and pull bottom of cluster toward steering wheel. Reach behind cluster, unplug connectors, and disconnect speedometer cable. Remove cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure.
