Speedometer Reads 0 At All Times

  1. Test drive vehicle and check operation of speed control. If speed control operates properly, go to next step. If speed control does not operate properly, disconnect EIM and go to step 3).
  2. Check for continuity between circuits No. 150 (Dark Green/White wire) and No. 683 (Purple/Light Blue wire) between EIM and speed sensor. If continuity exists, replace EIM. If no continuity exists, repair wiring as necessary.
  3. Test drive vehicle and check operation of speed control. If speed control operates properly, replace EIM. If speed control does not operate properly, trace circuits No. 150 (Dark Green/White wire) and No. 683 (Purple/Light Blue wire) for short or open. If wiring is okay, replace speed sensor.
