Lower Control Arm: Installation
- Install lower control arms with offset facing upward. Lower control arms are stamped BOTTOM on lower edge. See Figure .
- Rear lower control arms contain adjustment cams that fit in bushings at lower control arm-to-body attachment. Adjustment cams must be installed from front of lower control arm. See Figure .
- Loosely connect lower control arms to spindle. Connect torsion spring to lower control arm. Install inner pivot bolt. It may be necessary to use torsion spring remover to release torsion spring tension for inner pivot bolt installation.
- To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Ensure reference mark is aligned on adjustment cam notch. Lower vehicle and turn on air suspension switch.CAUTION: DO NOT turn air suspension switch on until vehicle is lowered and vehicle weight exists on all wheels.
- Tighten all fasteners to specification with vehicle at curb height. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table. Check and adjust toe.
