Strut Assembly: Installation
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten strut-to-body top mounting nuts to specification after all other components are installed and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.
- Ensure new bolts and nuts are installed on following components: axle shaft nut, ball joint nut, stabilizer bar link nut, steering knuckle-to-strut bolt and tie rod end nut.
- Replace air spring solenoid "O" rings if damaged. Once all components are installed, air springs in strut must be refilled before lowering vehicle. See AIR SPRING REFILL under AIR SPRING SOLENOID under AIR & ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
CAUTION:
Ensure air springs in strut are refilled before lowering vehicle.
