Front Suspension Removal & Installation: SUBFRAME: Removal

Install Engine Support (D97L-6000-A) on engine lifting eyes to support engine. Turn off air suspension switch, located behind trim panel in left side of trunk. See Figure . Using a body hoist, raise vehicle.
Remove front wheels. Disconnect and lower exhaust system at flex coupling. Remove and discard lower control arm ball joint pinch bolts. Support steering gear with wire from tie rod end. Remove steering gear-to-crossmember bolts.
Remove nuts from right front and right rear engine mounts. Remove stabilizer bar link from stabilizer bar. Remove left engine mount insulator at subframe through bolt.
Support subframe with jack stands where subframe contacts the body. Remove and discard subframe-to-body bolts. Raise vehicle enough to remove subframe.
