Front Suspension Removal & Installation: SUBFRAME: Installation

  1. Align subframe with body. Ensure all rubber mounts are in position. Install, but DO NOT tighten new subframe bolts.
  2. Install a 3/4" O.D. pipe into driver's side subframe and body alignment holes. Alignment holes are located near front subframe bolts. Slightly tighten left front subframe bolt.
  3. Repeat step 2) on right side (passenger) alignment holes. After verifying subframe is aligned, tighten subframe bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
  4. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Use new ball joint pinch bolt. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Lower vehicle and turn on air suspension switch.
CAUTION: DO NOT turn air suspension switch on until vehicle is lowered and vehicle weight exists on all wheels.
