Air Spring Solenoid R & I: Removal

  1. Remove wheel. Disconnect electrical connector at air spring solenoid. Note air line routing for reassembly. Disconnect air line by depressing release ring and pulling air line from air spring solenoid. See Figure .
  2. Remove solenoid clip. Rotate air spring solenoid counterclockwise to first stop. See Fig 1 . Pull air spring solenoid downward to second stop and allow remaining air to bleed from system.
    CAUTION: DO NOT fully release air spring solenoid until all air is bleed from air spring.
  3. Rotate air spring solenoid counterclockwise to third stop. Remove air spring solenoid from air spring. Replace filter if oily. If filter is excessively oily, strut assembly is leaking oil and should be replaced.
