Air Suspension Control Module
Air suspension control module is located in left side of trunk, behind strut tower. Air suspension control module receives input signals from various sensors. Air suspension control module uses sensor inputs to maintain desired vehicle riding height when vehicle is moving or stopped.
Desired riding height is accomplished by opening or closing air spring solenoids in struts. Air suspension control module operates air compressor through air compressor relay or opens vent solenoid in response to input signals inputs from height sensors. Air suspension control module receives inputs signals from the following:
- Vehicle speed.
- Steering wheel turning rotation.
- Engine vacuum level.
- Throttle position angle (supplied by EEC-IV module).
- Brake pressure switch.
- Ignition switch position.
- Strut dampening position.
- Door switch position.
- Height sensor position.
