Air Spring & Strut

Struts with integral air springs incorporate 2-stage dampening mechanisms. A soft or firm ride can be selected by changing piston orifice area with an externally mounted dampening actuator. See Fig 1 .

Front struts are attached to body through a radial ball bearing and rubber upper mount assembly. Radial ball bearings provide a pivot point for strut and wheel assembly. See Fig 2 .

Rubber mounts provide impact and noise isolation on top of struts. Rear struts have a dual path mount which separates strut and air spring mounting surfaces for maximum isolation.
