Pinpoint Test FA

  1. Ensure speedometer module lights. If speedometer module lights, go to step 2). If speedometer module does not light, go to PINPOINT TEST AA.
  2. Remove EIC. See ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (EIC) TESTING. Remove message center light bar. See MESSAGE CENTER CONTROL ASSEMBLY  (MCCA) LIGHT BAR. Check bulbs and light bar circuit. Replace bulbs if they are burned out. Go to step 3) if bulbs are okay.
  3. Check continuity between EIC connector pin B13 (circuit No. 464, Black/Pink wire) and pin A32 (circuit No. 464, Black/Pink wire). Repair circuit No. 464 if no continuity exists. If continuity exists, go to step 4).
  4. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage from pin B12 (circuit No. 298, Purple/Orange wire) to pin C4 (circuit No. 676, Pink/Orange wire). If voltage is greater than 10 volts, replace EIC. Repair open in circuit No. 298 if voltage is less than 10 volts.
