Water Pump: Installation

  1. Clean all surfaces of gasket material to ensure good seal. Apply sealant to water pump sealing surface. Apply sealer to new gasket and install.
  2. While sealer is wet, install water pump and tighten attaching bolts. Install pulley, brackets and drive belts. Adjust drive belts to specified tension. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
