Segments Missing Or Extra Segments "On"

  1. Turn ignition to "RUN" or "ON" and locate 2 terminal test connector. Jump terminals with jumper wire and check display. If display unchanged, jumper not making connection. Reinstall jumper and recheck display. If display reads 01 FX 000118 (X = 5 or 6), proceed to step 2), (X character is encircled in circle symbol on digital display). If any other display, replace EIM.
  2. Depress Mile/Km switch 9 times to advance to all segments of test display. All segments should be "ON". If okay, proceed to step 3). If not okay, replace EIM.
  3. Depress Miles/Km switch 1 more time. All segments should be "OFF". If okay, proceed to step 4). If not okay, replace EIM.
  4. Depress Miles/Km switch 2 more times. Segments should light, 1 at a time, moving from left to right. If only 1 segment lights at a time, system okay. If 2 or more segments light at same time, replace EIM.
