Fuel Gauge "Cs" Displayed
- Check for short in EIM. Disconnect 14405/14401 connector at fuse panel. Turn ignition switch to "RUN" or "ACC". If "CS" is displayed, proceed to step 2). If "CO" is displayed, proceed to step 3).
- Check for short in 14401 connector. Remove and disconnect EIM. Check for short between pin 11 (circuit 29) and pin 14 of 18 pin harness of EIM. If okay, replace EIM. If short circuit is found, service 14401 harness for short to ground.
- Check for short in sender unit. Reconnect 14405 connector. Lower fuel tank to access fuel sender connector. Disconnect connector from fuel sender and turn ignition switch to "RUN" or "ACC". If "CS" is displayed, service circuit 29 for short to ground. If "CO" is displayed, service fuel sender for short to ground. Replace if necessary.
