Ignition Switch

Remove shrouding from steering column, detach and lower steering column from brake support bracket. Disconnect battery. Disconnect switch wiring at multiple plug. Remove two nuts that retain switch to steering column. With column mounted gearshift lever, detach switch plunger from switch actuator rod and remove switch. On vehicles with a floor or console-mounted gearshift lever, detach the switch plunger from the switch actuator rod and remove the switch. When installing, both locking mechanism at top of column and switch itself must be in LOCK position for correct adjustment.
