Yaw Rate Sensor Wrong Installation (X0456) [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK) 
    1. Perform the Health Check using the GTS.

    Result: 

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer To  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2021 - ]

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (YAW RATE SENSOR VALUE) 
    1. Check Data List item "yaw rate sensor value".

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Data List

    REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 03/2024]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [03/2024 - ]

  3. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION 
    1. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) has been installed properly.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to INSTALLATION [03/2024 - ]

      OK

      The yaw rate and acceleration (airbag sensor assembly) is tightened to the specified torque.

      The yaw rate and acceleration (airbag sensor assembly) is not installed in a tilted position.

    INSTALL AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  INSTALLATION [11/2021 - 03/2024]  , or refer to  INSTALLATION [03/2024 - ]

  4. CLEAR VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (RoB) 
    1. Using the GTS, clear the Vehicle Control History (RoB).

  5. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF STEERING ANGLE SENSOR 
    1. Drive the vehicle straight ahead at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more for at least 5 seconds.
