DTC P06A0-14: Compressor Solenoid Circuit Short to Ground or Open [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Data List 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Solenoid Valve Control Current Value Solenoid valve control current Min.: 0 mA
      Max.: 1000 mA
      Value changes between 0 A and 0.997 A in accordance with solenoid valve operation -

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Data List

      OK

      The display is as specified in the normal condition column.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the B56 compressor assembly with pulley connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Compressor Assembly with Pulley)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (SOL-) - 2 (SOL+) Compressor temperature 25°C (77°F) 10.1 to 11.1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY 

    for T24A-FTS: Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

    for A25A-FKS: Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the B56 compressor assembly with pulley connector.
    2. Disconnect the D52 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B56-2 (SOL+) - D52-18 (SOL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      B56-1 (SOL-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      B56-2 (SOL+) or D52-18 (SOL+) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
