Inspection [03/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *b Component without harness connected
      (VSC OFF Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D161-4 (+) - D161-7 (E) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω
      D161-4 (+) - D161-7 (E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
  2. INSPECT BRAKE HOLD SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *b Component without harness connected
      (Brake Hold Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D161-3 (+B) - D161-7 (E) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω
      D161-3 (+B) - D161-7 (E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
  3. INSPECT DOWNHILL ASSIST CONTROL SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *b Component without harness connected
      (Downhill Assist Control Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D161-13 (B) - D161-7 (E) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω
      D161-13 (B) - D161-7 (E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
  4. INSPECT BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that there is ventilation from the booster side to the engine side, and no ventilation from the engine side to the booster side of the brake vacuum check valve assembly.
